I am trying to remember if Telnet is an option. I think one has to first run a Telnet server as a TAP, which seems to be impossible here.

This is, indeed, the best place in the world to get such advice. I should have thought to recommend Filezilla over in the Australian forum.

I have more information. I only experience the delays I've been describing when I load the Quickplaylist/Previously play files list. That's all I use, so I load it by default. When I change that default it loads very quickly.

Perhaps this is normal behaviour after all.

Thanks for replying. I only use it to view the list of recently played files. I use TMSArchive and TMSClient/Server to manage the other functions.

Agreed! It's a great TAP. I do have one ongoing problem with it, though; over time, it responds more and more slowly. If I leave it long enough it takes as long as 30-40 seconds to load the list.
