Its not so easy.
Translation in iT means not only the language output (120K text) also some base algorithm for analysing EPG data and for processing RegExe stuff.
Maybe, if there is a well motivated people that has free time for some weeks we will support him.
There is no plan to do it myself.

maybe one should have put language relevant resources to a singe resource file while developing?
this helps translating and modifying software quick and is used nearly everywhere :u:

Agreed. But another problem is yet to be solved: the positioning of texts in the graphics displays is heavily dependent on text lengths and will change for sure with another language.

Obviously. But English text is normally shorter than German.

Very often you see cut-off German text in Topfield Menus, that does not seem to happen in English. Wonder what the Finnish do with their long long words...

If you happen to know StevieC - perfectionist to the bone -, you must know that texts not properly aligned to the bit will never pass his door :D

Please please please put at least an English version on the roadmap?

I only read good reviews on stability and usability of iTina but German is not readable for my wife and kids..
I really would like to ditch 3PG because is causes hangups and crashes, but for now, iTina in Geman is not a real alternative......

I am sure that there will be many more out there looking for this!

(I'm Dutch by the way)

Hi betonpoaltie,

Good question but the translation is the problem. All texts are embedded in textboxes with an accurately defined length. More than 1500  text lines are included and to consider the length of each text line is necessary almost always. Otherweise you will see "Even..." instead of "Abend" for example. Translation "after this manner" is very difficult and time-robbing in my mind but everybody who is still interested in an english translation can try it. In that case please contact us.

Hi Admiral,

From your comments and the ones further up , I understood that it would be difficult / time consuming; but not utterly impossible... right?
Therefore I merely requested to put this issue on the roadmap.

I am confident that, if there were a text file containing all OSD messages, within no-time good alternative translations would created and shared by enthusiasts everywhere.
(I know I would have a go at it!)

Please let me know how I could help; I cannot foresee a near future without my toppie, so I can only benefit by investing some time now..

Yes, you are right. :) I ask you again, are you positive that you will do that? Then I will discuss this with Erdnussnase.

adapted: roughly 2000 text lines to translate

Remember from previous posts, please. Translate iTiNa to Englisch does not mean to translate the text output, only.
Its also rewrite some of the basic routines for finding similar texts.
This is a time consuming task on our side.

So my statement on this is an old statement :
We will translate iTiNa to englisch AFTER we have a person that translated all texts of iTiNa (a lot of) and has enough time to do it in the future, too.

iTiNa is a development of many enthusiasts. To translate iTiNa to englisch we need a english-german translator enthusiast, too.
