I have a CRP-2401CI+ and some time ago I realised I can't watch certain recordings from a few weeks back any more. The recordings were decrypted, and I know the decrypting was ok, since I tested that I could watch them even without a card inserted. Now it says the recording is encrypted. This happens only with some HBO-produced series, and my guess is they have set some expiry date to these recordings, which isn't removed by the copying/decrypting process.
Now I would like to test, if I can trick the CRP to play these expired recordings by setting the system date back closer to the date of recording. Is there a TAP or some other method that allows to set the system date? I mean without wiping clean all settings and programmed recordings in the process.
I tried to wind the clock back manually, but the process is way too slow when we are talking several weeks.

There is no TAP-API functions to set the time and I know that some smart cards pick out the time stamp from the stream and remember the newest time stamp they have seen. So changing the clock of the receiver won’t fix the decryption problem because it has nothing to do with the decoding process.

I have taken the smart card and the reader module out, and I could watch a recent (decrypted) recording, but not an older one. So I don't think it's the smart card. And the files are decrypted anyway. There must be some expiry date stored in the recording, that the Topfield reads. As said, this only concerns some HBO produced shows.
What if I reset the system clock by removing the clock battery for a minute? Any hints how to access it?

You need to disassemble the front panel to get access to the battery.
