Ini file suggestion

Could it be possible that everyone would add "#TAPName file" (e.g. #ProgressBarKeys file) in to the beginning of the inifile (and other files TAP is using). Or some text that would tell what TAP owns the file.

My disk is full of files and I have no idea who owns them.

I know that TAPs' help pages are telling some filenames as well as readme files, but it is hard to find them there.

The only file "Filer" uses at the moment is named "filer.ini" and in the first lines there is the name of the TAP

Code: Alles auswählen

'-------------------------------------------------------
'INI-File: Filer v1.00 Beta 2.2
'-------------------------------------------------------
But I think it will not be possible in all files because they are binaries, not text-files.
These files should sound like the TAP (like improbox.lsp, etc.)?

Hi!

All improbox files are named as improbox.*

Best regards,

Many files are named or commented well, but then there is files where is no hint what TAP owns it. This message was aimed for TAP writers with such a files.

For example PBK generates many files, Videot3xt generates files and so on...

And yes, this same message was also writed into australian and UK forums.

Personally I don't like to have this kind of don't-know-who-owns-this-file files in my disk. Not even they are small.

Little correction. All files in QT are named as QuickTimer*.*
