I suppose German users are VERY loyal to your site. Much under 10% of tapworld visitors come from Germany. The same about Australia. UK users visit TAPWorld twice as much as you. I am not complaining... It is actually very good to have more than one TAP site.

I suppose it's partly a language thing. Lets face it there aren't that many uk visitor's for the topfield-europe site so you just can't take it for granted that all europeans speak all european languages .

It's partly a familiarity thing. Over the past few years there have been many new sites that have sprung up and disappeared so the loyalty thing is important for german speakers and down-unders. Believe it or not there's really useful content out there from 2002 when you search.

So it takes an earthquake or the prospect of a more stable board supported by the established gurus to even think of moving.

That's a nice list you've created and I'll certainly visit it whenever I need to search for a new TAP.

It is a nice site...... I saw some Taps there that I have never seen before, granted they were Austrailia or UK specific.

Indeed, there must be something special about topfield.de. For quite a while I'm waiting for strizzi publishing SmartSkipper there. No chance. Therefore I'm greatful to tapworld doing this immediately after introduction. It led to an astonishing quota of 41 % downloads of the english version compared with the german one (by now).

But, sorry to say, I'm not completely content with your solution. You established two links at your site allowing direct download avoiding our download counters. So, I'm afraid in reality the quota is even worst/better - as you prefer. I would like to ask you to remove these links keeping only the site link.

Luckily TAPWorld has this text in the beginning:
"TAP developers: If you want me to change how your TAP is descriped (e.g. remove direct links to zips, email address or anything) please send feedback"



I will remove direct link in next update (I don't have time now because my wife is yellin "are we going to watch something")

die fehlt momentan, ich komme derzeit nicht mehr so dazu.
Es ist nicht nur die TAP Seite die ich pflege, momentan hatte halt das Board und andere Dinge Vorrang.

Und lieber keine Übersicht, als eine, die irgendwie einen veralteten Eindruck macht, obwohl
die Sachen, die man dort findet, allemal up to date sind, da einige TAP Programmierer auf die Seite inzwischen selbst einen ftp Zugang haben und Ihre Dinge dort warten können, bzw. zu den jeweiligen eigenen Seiten der
TAP´ler ein direkter Link führt.

@flechumer, danke, werde schauen ob ich es heute noch einbauen kann.

Weiterhin hoffe ich, Du hast mich nicht vergessen, genau ein ftp Zugang in meiner Sache würde ich mir vorstellen.....

They should rather call this page tap_list-old.htm

They even link to a NiceDisplay version that does not yet support cyrillic
