Using Smart EPG on Australian Model TMS

Hi,

I am interested in discovering whether this TAP will work on the Australian TMS Topfields. They are specifically for FTA television only.

Any hints on how to set them up, including how and where to load the LOGOs when created. Have these already in many formats, ibl,jpg,bmp,png.

Have installed it by the recommended method using the instal SmartEPG, and been struggling to try to understand the Manual. Google translation helps a little.

All advice appreciated. Have several other users keeping watch on this TAP as it looks very good. Much like 3PG I think.

Cheers
Mike

good morning mike.

the logos you have to copy in ProgramFiles/Settings/Logos/trans-black/169/ (but this you must still have because se installs the autodescramble logos itself)

there you can store your logofiles, every logo has to be stored in three sizes: qtl/ibl/qsl

then you go to the log directory and delete the logo.lil
start se go into the settings and start point 29.
then you get a new logo.lil which is in order to your channel list.
you can try to start point 30, maybe you can see some logos then.
on that station you don't see logos, you have to open the logo.lil with an editor and type in the correct logofilename which you want to use for that station.

it looks like:

Code: Alles auswählen

008200010445007e=aljazeerasport
008200c807080e36=kisskissradio
008200c807080e43=deejay
you have to edit the right side, the name there has to be the same as you have named the logo for that station.
the right side is a unique id for this station, you don't have to change this. the advantage of this id is, it is on every toppy the same, it doesn't matter if the user has edit the station name in his settings. So everybody can use your logo and lil pack.
when you have finished that you can send us your logo.lil and we can add yours to ours.
you can upload your logo pack into taptodate and share it with all other users in australia.

i hope this will help you, if you have any questions, don't hasitate to ask here :!:

cheers

Thanks for that information

I can save the logos as 50x30 .ibl, 54x34 qtl using Happy's ibl viewer, but how do I convert the bmp files to qsl format and what is that size?

Have the channellogoviewer tap loaded and been able to save in various formats using that on the TMS.

I will just go one step at a time here thanks twilight.

Cheers
Mike

Think I found the answer from Toppi and Happy

viewtopic.php?t=42682&highlight=logos

Toppi :hello:
To make QSL-Logos, you have to prepare first a Logo 36 x 22 bmp.
Then you can convert those bmp-files by use of IBL-Viewer ( I use 2.0 ) into QSL-Logos.
ibl = 50 x 30
qtl = 54 x 34
qsl = 36 x 22

Happy :)
Just rename .tfp to .qsl
The files have different extensions, but they all have the same format.

So now off to play and create :altermotzsack:

Thanks for all your help
Mike

In the paragraph above did you mean the left side is the unique ID?

So for my lil set the lil says in part:

0000320203500351=sbsone
0000320c08090809=sc10
00003281099f0942=prime7
00003273327b0001=win
00001010022302a3=abc1
00001010022302a2=abc2abc4

Station Logo name on the right ID on the left

No problem, just wanted to be sure. Know how it is with our hobbies. I have a little more time on my hands as I am retired.

Keep up the excellent work. I admire people with talent like the team of 5 have.

Just read Happy's read me file for the V2 IBL Viewer and it states in part:

From version 2.0 also 32Bit logos are supported for display and conversion to bmp.
New extensions are .ibl32 and .qtl32. The recognition of 32bit logos is independent
form the extension.
Also Support for .qsl and .qsl32

Earlier I found a viewer for the LogoPack and downloaded it. Think it was an exe file. However have since lost it in my folders somewhere. You could load the logopack and view all the individual logos and edit the names as I recall. Does anyone know what it could have been and where to download?

My 7160 is set up to save in rec format, but I suspect that Smart EPG saves timed recordings in mpg format, but am not sure. Can someone please confirm.

Confused with all my playing with logos. :oops: it was the java logo editor which was part of the 3pg RC1.29 package.

Could be useful but not sure whether it would suit the format that SE uses.

Thanks anyway Twilight

that depends if we had added a funktion that knows if it is a "rec" or "mpg" receiver.
the receiver makes the extension which is filled in the timer.... :u:

so if the receiver records but the file is not visable in the filer...it is a rec file.
