How can I see the decoding state of my recordings ?
On the Topfield, there were the blue, blue/yellow, yellow and white symbols. I would like to understand how to tell on the Vu+. Is there a file-info pop-up with textual explanation of the state, or does the skin color indicate anything ?
Is this information available anywhere, preferably in English ?

There is a lock in front of the file name if the recording is encrypted. And no lock if it is decrypted.

In this context, it is important to switch the VU+ to standby. Then it will decode.
I wondered why my recordings was not decoded. But we had always left the VU+ switched on.
In standby, it works all by itself, so we pay attention to that now.
You have to know.

in diesem Zusammenhang ist wichtig, dass man die VU+ in den Standby schaltet. Dann entschlüsselt sie auch.
Ich hatte mich gewundert, warum meine Aufnahme nicht entschlüsselt wurden. Wir hatten die VU+ aber auch immer angeschaltet gelassen.
Im Standby funktioniert es dann von ganz alleine, darauf achten wir jetzt.
Muss man wissen.

Ok, I actually switch it to deep standby, and was wondering, speculating to ask in a thread, should I use the deep standby or the normal standby ?

Will that matter for the decoding.?

Normal Standby - there is no decoding in Deep Standby!

And why are all my encoded recordings decoded though I never use normal standby, but always deep standby?
