Hello everyone,

Is it possibe to make decoding of a scrambled recording offline with 5x00PVR?

(At least this feature exist in Elanvision and Homecast PVR's.)
There is possible to select recordings to be decoded when user switches the receiver to standby.

Or maybe I haven't read the manual throughly...

Not in Standby, but in normal operation. Just start the scrambled recording via the file manager, and press the record button. This will create a new file with a "-(COPY)" appendix, which is descrambled.
If your CI Module and Card supports fast throughput (most combinations will do) you can also switch to a 2x or 4x fast playback mode before pressing record.

Ok, not possible.

Does TAP API includes functionality for descrambling?
I mean to make TAP, which
1. takes somehow filelist
2. analyses CI ability
3. after coming to standby, starts decoding?

Does it sounds possible?

In standby mode the harddisk is switched off. Therefore, descrambing is not possible in standby mode.

I mean:
1. switch device ON by timer or another way, if possible - maybe ask TAP to sence switching OFF
2. perform what is needed
3. really switch off

One of the next versions of MediaManager may be what you are looking for.

The sFastCopy TAP does basically what you're asking for:

First you create a timer for SfastCopy (e.g. every day at 7 a.m.). At the selected time the Topfield will switch on and descramble all found scrambled recordings. Afterwards the Topfield switches off again.

and if you wish, SfastCopy can also then move the scramled file to a predefined folder and leave the descrambled file in the "normal" listing. I have this function on in my version and it works fairly well. ;)

P.S: I just noticed that we have quite a number of good english "writing" people around, so maybe we should change the official language to english. :D :und_weg:

Thank you VERY much.

I have nothing against to have English as default language for this forum.
