Hallo, I am new here.
My Topfield 7700HD PVR has a strange problem.
If I record a program of one of the BBC channels, I can see the subtitles and during playback it is also possible to see the subtitles.
But recorded programs of BBC HD don`t show the subtitles, even if it was broadcasted with subtitles.
It seems to be a bug, but other people who use the same receiver told me they did not have this problem.
What can I do?

just look if you use the same firmware on the receiver....

I did all the OTA updates so far, so I think I must waite for new uopdates.
By the way, you are living near Vienna, can you receive BBC HD?

the problem could be that there is no firmware OTA.
you have to do it with a pc and a zero modem cable (i hope this is the right word for it )
or you can do it by internet, if you have a lan connection by your 7700.

i do not have a 7700 hd pvr, so i can´t told you if its possible to receive this channel here

Thanks for your response.
Updates are available via OTA and I have to wait for the next one.
At present, there are not so many HDTV channels yet, but one of them is BBC HD.
Probably you cannot receive it in Austria, because BBC broadcasts it`s channels via a narrow beam on Astra2 at 28,2 East.
I am lucky to live in the West of the Netherlands, because here we live in a spill-over aerea, and the signal is very good if a satellite dish of 90 cm is used.
In spring ITV 1 will also start broadcasts in HDTV.
And German tv like WDR and I think ZDF will start broadcasts in HDTV during the Olympic games in Beijing.
These broadcasts will be available in a large aerea throughout Europe, because Astra 1 on 19,2 East has a large footprint.
