Top set doesn't find TF7700 HD PVR

Hi
I have just gotten my TF7700 HD PVR back today from Topfield, where it have undergone some "surgery" due to shutting down completely while in stand by.
As far as I know at this point, Topfield have changed the front since it has the plastic on the display, the inside I don't know.
I connect my Topfield to my computer with a sandberg COM to USB converter and it worked perfectly before I send it back to be fixed but now it doesn't work.
When I ask Top set to "read settings from receiver" nothing happens after the reboot, it's like the receiver is unresponsive.
I have moved the USB and the computer respond perfectly.
I have updated the Sandberg drivers and the USB driver from Top set.
It's just like the communication stops at the COM connector on the Topfield.
Are there way to get the connection back? I have looked through the receiver settings but nothing points to the COM port, so I can't Activate/deactivate it?
It would be really great if I have to send it back again
TIA
Kim
