converting multiple files with projectx ?

hello ,

i am using projectx to convert .rec file to ts , but the problem i am facing is that when i convert multiple files at the same time it joins all the files and produce on huge file .
what i want is creating ts files but without joining the .ts files together .

for exampe :

what i want

1.rec ,2.rec -> 1.ts , 2.ts


not

1.rec , 2.rec -> 1.ts ( big file with both 1.ts , 2.ts)

is there a solution for this ?

Press the + in the collection window and then add 2.rec.

i see firebird , we have to put the other .rec in a new collection , but can't we achieve the same result by putting both files in the same collection ?

and is there a way i can produce a file with .mpg extension rather than .ts extension ?

No. This is meant to combine several pieces into one file.

TS is a (Topfield compatible) transport stream and MPEG is a program stream. As far as I know, ProjectX can't convert a transport stream directly into a MPEG file. It produces a demultiplexed audio and video stream (open the process window and select demux as action) and then you have to remultiplex these two files.

There is an output directory in the lower right corner of the main window. Press + and choose your directory.

It can. Just select "to m2p" instead of "demux".

If the resulting file ist called .mp2 just rename it to .mpg.

I think this is the best to watch recorded movies with any media player in Windows.
