Dann liegt es auf keinem Fall am DB-Update (denn in der 1.20 ist es ja immer "live"), sondern eher an der Routine, welche die Infos einliest. Evtl stoppt die bei einem Sonderzeichen oder so.

Einfach her mit einem Beispiel, so dass wir das auch auf unseren Töpfen testen können.

Thanks for the latest version. Just noticed a little bug (which may have been reported already in German!)
When displaying contents of a directory which might contain 5 files (say) at the top right it has the wrong file count of 6 (always one more than the correct total).

I also have a request (a small one): I often find myself forcing a "rescan" and find it tedious to "press menu, scroll up/down, rescan and then back-out again". Can you set the "Recall" key to do a rescan when at the top level (at which point it does not have any other use) It would be a nice feature!

There was a fix in this beta regarding “lost files”. A rescan shouldn’t be necessary. If it is, we should find the root cause.

Therefor a button for the rescan would be nice to have.

Kommt sofort. Es kann aber sein, daß das Problem nicht mehr besteht. Habe gerade mal die 3PG.dat gelöscht, was früher zur fehlerhaften Darstellung geführt hätte. Heute aber nicht. Vielleicht senden die ja mittlerweile "anständig". Filer 2.0 hab ich zZ leider noch nicht auf dem 5200er. Kann das vielleicht jemand anders mal checken?

You mean if you put the hdd into your PC? Does this happen so often? The rest is Elles decision.

I agree! The reality is that until problems (such as that mentioned by Toppi, e.g. file transfer/modification via ftp as well as paranoia) with "missing" or "not updated" files are totally removed a "more convenient/faster rescan method" would be nice.

That's what I meant. Sometimes I have to rescan, ok not this often, but in this case a button would be nice.

The display at the top right doesn't show the number of files, it shows the number of lines. So the line ".." is counted, too.

Right.
The rows are counted, not the number of files.

But you can configure that only the files are counted (menupoint 3?).

No. There will be no key for that. The most cases should be fixed with this version.
But you can program it yourself, if you want

In the first version we scanned the harddrive in the background on every startup.
But it makes the receiver slow for that time and so it was changed that only the root-dir of every view are scanned on every startup.

Die sind so minimal und haben NIX mit der DB zu tun. Da KANN eigentlich nix bei sein, was das Problem verursacht...


Könnt ihr bitte nochmal die alten Betas testen, ob es wirklich seit der 5 nicht mehr geht und die 4 noch funktioniert hat (DB jeweils löschen und ohne andere TAPs starten)?

-> Ihr müsst dafür temporär das Datum manuell nach hinten setzten

The rows are counted, not the number of files.

What's the point of counting rows?! At the level above I see 5 files and when I move to the sub-directory I see 6 rows!!!! This is confusing. Perhaps in the config menu it should say "count rows" and not "files". Warped logic ...
