One for the wish list

With the fast increasing number of LCD and plasma TV’s would it be possible to have screen saver mode in filer to dim or blank the screen when a recording or live TV is paused.

What about the Matrix-Saver-TAP?
Although I kicked it since our LCD cannot be affected by burn-in.

I have also kicked it out for an other reason, have you seen the memory use? about 875kB just for a screen saver. I'm hoping that integrating the screen saver functionality in filer won't add this amount of memory use.

Hi,
can you put it on the wishlist (see signature), please?
Thanks

OK. The function is ready.
Do you think we need a timeout on a base of seconds (30sec, 60 sec...) or are minutes good enough (1 minute, 2 minutes...)?

I would like to see a time out based on seconds (say 30 sec. steps), but I can easily live with minutes

OK. No Problem
The timer starts if the receiver is in "normal"-state and there is a paused playback.
If a key is pressed, the timer will be reseted.
If the playack stops or the receiver-status changes (TAP, Teletext, Menu...), the timer will be deleted.
If the timer is over, the receiver-status changes to "TAP active" and the screen fades to black
and if you press a key, it fades out again and the receiver-status changes back to "normal" (this key will not be passed to the receiver).

Good that I took another look over it

:
If the screensaver was set to "0" (disabled), it became active immediately

Then you would have created the ultimate screen saver
