Hi,
Sorry for not writing in german, hope you will help me this way.
I got a nice tf6000pvr and was hoping to get PIP working on 2 scrambled services.
I have an Aston 1.07 CAM and I believed that this CAM could descramble 2 services.
i can get PIP working on 1 scrambled service and 1 FTA, but I cannot get 2 scrambled services running.
the manual also states that it should be possible as long as I use a cam that can descramble 2 services.
I believe the topfield 5000 has a specific setting to turn on Multiservice decoding. I cannot find this setting in the TP6000.
I have tried the stable firmware and also the january beta firmware.
Cannot get PIP to work
AW: Cannot get PIP to work

That's only possible if both services are on one transponder. It is not possible to descramble two services on different transpnders.

Thanks for your answer,
Yes that was brought to my attention on a dutch forum as well.
I tested that out and made sure I tuned to 2 services on the same transponder.
Still, no go.
TO be sure of my CAM I tried it out on a different tuner and tuned to the same 2 services. And that worked beautifully.
SO I know my CAM is ok and that I am tuneing to the correct services, but the TF6000PVR will not show the PIP correctly. Only when it is FTA.
I am still at a loss

To descramble two channels of the same transponder you need two things:
a) a CAM with the multidecrypt feature ==> Are you sure that Aston 1.07 supports this?
b) You need to activate this feature in the Topfield menu. I am not familiar with the tf6000pvr but in the case of the 5xxx Topfields you must klick on "menu", then on "Common Interface" and then you should see a picture like this:

"Descramble multiple services" must be activated here.

Thank you for the time and effort you put in helping me out.
I am looking for that setting indeed, but it is not available in the tf6000pvr.
I can see the CI slots and I see the name of the CAM there. But the 3rd option to enable multiple service descrambling is not available.

The CAM I have is absolutely capable of it as I have tried it in a different tuner in the meantime.

Then I would say that the "multiple service descrambling" feature has NOT yet been implemented on the current PVR6000 firmware...
BTW: On my Topfield 5200 I haven't got this option either - therefore I have the same problem as you
Gerti has said that a future firmware will include this option. This statements however was on the 5200. Thus: the question would be if the statement applies to the Topfield 6000, too ==> I guess only Gerti can answer this question...

I got a very clear responce from Topfield themselves:
"
I'm very sorry.
The manual is wrong.
I'll request our developers to fix it.
I'm not sure how long it will take,
but the new firmeware will be posted on the download page as soon as
it is released.
"
These are the answers I like from a company, the plain and simple truth.
