TF6000PVR tuner management

Hi,
I am having a problem with the way the topfield manages it's tuner assignment. The following is the case:

I setup T1 and T2 to have the same services
I set a recording using epg for a program that starts in 10 minutes
I zap to a different channel to watch a movie
When the time arrives for the recording to start the topfield switches services and lets me show what it wants to record.
I press the button again for going to the channel I was watching and that tunes to the other tuner.

This basically tells me that My channels are setup ok, both tuners are working ok.

What I don't get is that the topfield should use the free tuner, not the one I am using to watch a movie on. The only known way for me to prevent this is set a recording, manually switch to a different tuner and then switch to the service I want to see.
That is certainly not a very userfriendly way.

Am I doing something wrong ?

Try to use the TAP Quicktimer and programm all recordings on Tuner4.
A short time befor the recording starts, Quicktimer choose the free available tuner and set the recording either on T1 or T2.

I tried the quicktimer, but I cannot get it up on screen by pressing the teletekst button ?
Is it a different button on the 6000 ?

Thanks for the help

Teletext should be the standard button and it is stored in the quicktimer.ini file. Normally you can change the buttons in the menu, but you can't start quicktimer. :thinker:
Do you have any other TAPs loaded which use the Teletext button?

To the 6000er User
Are there any problems loading quicktimer on a 6000er toppi?

I'll mess around some more with it.
I only have the nice display tap running for the 6000.

I have seen some signatures on forums saying that they use the quicktimer tap on their 6000. So I assume I did something wrong.

Quicktimer is working fine on the 6000.
If it doesn't show, try to switch on subtitles in the sytem settings.
On the 5500 this can help.

Happy

I got quicktimer running now, It must have been some other tap that was messing around with me as it is ok now.
Perhaps it was the startup order or something.

Thanks all for the help
