Hi,
Sorry that I write in English, but my German would be not understandable: wink:.
A few days since I am the proud owner of a TF5400 PVR: D:. It is the perfect device for me, but unfortunately, it does not seem to work well: (. If I watch 1 hour of satellite television, I have to switch to standby and power on again at least 3 times as the device gets completely blocked (picture freeze, no reaction to remote control) while just watching a channel.
Next to that, I am not so impressed by the DVB-T receiver sensitivity. The receiver seems to be less good than the cheap one (dedicated DVB-T receivers for 50 euro) I was using till now. With the same signal, the TF5400 has much more hick-ups than the old one (which basically has no hick-ups at all!)
I tried the latest firmware programming already available to the device, but that did not help at all The only thing I do not get is why the loader version (4.08) is much older than the rest of the versions and therefore not the most recent one (which appears to be 5.23). I noticed that the loader version is not changed if I download the lasted software into the device.
I would be very happy to know if any of you experienced the same or similar problems before or already know another solution to this problem than sending the device back to the shop ...
Thanks in advance,
Koen Vanhoof

Unfortunately I don't know anything about the 5400 but many other Topfield devices are having problems with DVB subtitles. You can try to disable them completely in the system settings. Probably this helps you with the freezes. Just a guess …

Hi All,
Thanks for all the replies. In the end the receiver blocked completely and I had to send it back to the shop. They replaced the hard drive and now everything seems to work as expected.
THe DVB-T programs mute/freeze from time to time, but that is due to the not optimal antenna signal strength. My previous DVBT receiver is very happy with the same signal, so I have the impression that the topfield receiver is slightly less sensitive...
Regards,
Koen.
