Tried various 1.8 meter dishes myself in Graz in June 2003.

Now have a 2.4 meter dish which gives me vertical transponders from about 9 a.m to 8 p.m. with gaps during summer. Horizontal transponders come in around midnight and fade between 7 and 8 in the morning. Less so in warmer seasons.

I have now bought a 3m dish on E-Bay which I am going to pick up. It comes in four segments only, so I expect an improvement of at least 2 dB in signal strength. While this may not give me 24/7 reception, I hope to see even more of an improvement to catch some prime time viewing. Will report when I have it up and running.

Reception on 3m dish also varies depending on season. In cloder seasons horizontals are 24 hours, signals on verticals vary more, so peaks and troughs mean no 24 hour reception here. But outage is less than 4 hours a day, slightly less in winter and slightly more in summer.

Mit dem HD Signal ist es bis jetzt noch so, dass dies nur mit einer speziellen Decodier Karte entschlüsselt werden kann. Dieses Signal dient uns zum testen und die Hardware einzustellen.
Ab dem 01. November wird ein Promotion Loop gesendet, dieser ist dann mit einer normalen Sataccess Karte zu empfangen und ab dem 01. Dezember gehen wir dann fix "on Air".
Wir bitten Sie daher noch um etwas Geduld, der HD Channel kommt aber bestimmt.
