New type of sound! Stream type 0x80 and PCM audio (PCM!!).
Have anybody record an event with that type of audio on a TF7700HDPVR?
I would like to see the ifo and add files.

Hi TOP4
I recorded it (part of the soccer match) with the TF7700HDPVR. When I play it there ist only sound and no picture. So I converted it to ts in order to reconvert it with your program into TF7700HDPVR format. Then I have picture an no sound. It would be much easier to correct the ifo and add files if it possible. I can send you the ifo and add files. Please give me an E-Mail address via PN.
Thanks!

@ Top4
I just sent you 2 different zip files:
1. The ifo an add files from recording I made today. The todays recording is again with AC-3 sound.
2. The other recording (2 days ago) is with PCM audio stream.
Both times I recorded a small part of the soccer match. The recording works on the TF7700HDPVR only via Time list, a manual recording by pushing the red record button doesn't work. When playing the recording there is only sound and no picture. You can't even made a second copy of it to the internal HDD.
I told the Topfield support this bug. The answer was that ITVHD is not sending in a standard format, so there will be no fix for it.
That's why I choose to transform it to ts and then with RecToTs again into TF7700HDPVR.
I am on the way to transform the today recording (should work because of the AC3 stream). The recording with the PCM stream doesn't work with sound (only picture) after the transforming.
Thanks and greetings!

It seems to be AC-3 sound in both, well they look nearly the same. I made an update of the program, handle 0x80 in the same way as AC-3. New beta up, test it out.
Could you run RecToTs with "/7 /i" on your rec file from the box (recorded in the TF7700HDPVR) with PCM sound and post the printout. I'm little interested in the info.

Thanks.
Occurding to the PMT the stream type for the sound is 0x06 and with a AC-3 descriptor. That's normal and the box and my program can handle it. But, the video stream type 0x06! My program (and the toppy) will not find it. Well i'm no pro in this subject, but it seems to be no standard. Maybe I can find a logical trick to find out that it is the video (it is possible to do this, because of other data and no other video), but I will not spend time for this. As I understand you convert the ts in a program that clean this up.

Hi Top4!
The converting of the original .rec file (with the "PCM" stream) with RecToTs gives only sound but no picture. So first a have to convert the original .rec with TsRemux v. 0.0.21.2 to TS (188 byte packets). After that I convert the TS file with RecToTs back into TF7700HDPVR format.
The good news is, that your new beta works well with the "PCM" stream.
Thanks a lot! :

AW: Watching 5xxx rec files
Since you got "Invalid file, can't find TS packets!" the ts file is not a plain ts file. The program expected that before, but it turned out that a toppy rec file could actually include some scrap. So I added a functionality to resync in the file and find the ts packets again. Maybe there is a bug in this functionality. I created a new beta version with some debug info printed at this fault. Please run it and post the printout.
However, it might be your file that is in a strange format. The intention of the program is to convert rec files from other Toppys. So your file is actually not supported, but let us see what happends. Or maybe you can clean it with some other tool.
At this 'resync' in the program the start of the ts packets must come within 50MB. Also if the problem with the ts packets is within the last millions bytes at the end the file, the error is ignored.

Yes, seems to be a corrupted file. No strange things in the debug info. The appl search for only two start bytes of ts packets and did not find it (within appr. 50MB at that location). So I don't do anything with this.
