Hi Magnus,
I didn’t find a firmware for the 5700PVRt. Do you have a link?

Hi Alex!
There has only been one firmware release so far for this receiver so I don't think it can be downloaded anywhere. I have saved a backup of the firmware in my 5700 which I guess also should work:
http://web.telia.com/~u13311124/topfiel ... 061215.tfd

Thanks for the file, Magnus. I didnt have a problem to apply the C-patch to your backup. It contains the same code as the Finnish CableReady feature but of course I cant tell if it is responsible for the problems you experience. Youll be the first to know. : Because the patch doesnt contain the information about your firmware, it will say Not tested with this firmware. Ignore it and apply the patch.

Nice, I didn't want to try it out without being sure that the patch was compatible. Just a quick question, when I try to select the Cable Ready patch in FWPatcher I get a message box saying "You can't install this patch" and the check box is deselected. If I then click Apply the software saves a file which if I do a binary compare is different from the original FW so something has changed. Have I done something wrong or is everything ok?
I also tried to patch the correct 5100PVRc FW and a binary compare on those files shows more differences than on the 5700 FW.
Best regards, Magnus

It worked as expected. Do you use the latest patcher V3.2.1.0 (check the properties of the exe)?

You are trying to compare a compressed file. Load the TFD with VegaPack, save the firmware binary and compare these unpacked files. With a applied patch, some bytes should be different otherwise both files should match. If I then click Apply the software saves a file which if I do a binary compare is different from the original FW so something has changed. Yepp, I have the latest version V3.2.1.0. This morning I tried to load the patched firmware file to the receiver and it seemed to work ok. I did a new channel scan and removed some channels with TopSet. After rebooting, the receiver still says "Service list changed..." and put the channels back in the list. I'm wondering if I maybe have missed something, is the Cable Ready patch made to stop the receiver from putting back e.g removed channels?

I loaded the finnish FW to the 5700PVRt last night and it seem to work fine :-) I could find the "Delete channel" function which is not available in the 5700PVRt FW. The receiver still doesn't put the channels in number order, but some on e.g 96,97.98 according to the Boxer numbering system. I cannot however find a function for moving channels, do have to use TopSet to rearrange the channels on a PC?

This is not available on Finnish cable versions either.
Alex:
I do not need this, but I think many Finnish and Swedish users would be very happy if there would be a patch that would enable this "delete channel" feature on Finnish cable and Swedish models.
I am quite sure this feature is only disabled and hidden from menu/screen on these models and it could be enabled again.
Would you Alex like to take a look at this and maybe make a patch for this?
You could compare Finnish model FWs from this zip:
http://www.tapworld.net/fw/2.83/2.83_kaikki_mallit.zip

Ah yes, channels could be moved on very first one or two public TF5100 FWs but after that it has not been possible with Topfield. I believe this is because of LCNs. Try to use TopSet if it can be used to rearrange channels (I do not know because I have not ever used that application).

I have not mentioned anything about this wish in Finnish forum so no-one does not know about it. This means it is easier to say "no"
hmm... maybe I could mention it a little in our forum and then we would see how many "I want that too" posts/emails you would get :

Hallo,
