Probleme mit den Common Interfaces

Beitrag von alpski » Di 13. Jun 2006, 08:36

Hallo,

Michi

Hi!

Du musst leider auf ein Firmwareupdate warten...dieser Fehler ist bekannt.

Hello,

I am interresting to buy a TF6000PVR.

Reading what is written above makes me anxious. Do you mean that two CI cards do not work toghether? I need the TPS AND the Swiss channels toghether working at the same time.

Could you tell me if the bug described above is only when an AlphaCrypt AND a viacess is present at the same time OR is it a general bug which prevents to use TWO CI at the same time independently of the provider?

I really need this functionnality. If this is a general bug, could you tell me when a new firmware will be available?

I thanks you in advance for your valuable information.
Olivier.

Yes, this is a bug. And probably it will be fixed with the next firmware update. But it isn't yet sure when that will be available. But the developers are working on it.

Dear Anthea,

thank you for your fast answer. I understand your answer, but couldn't be possible to give me a estimation in terms of weeks when this update could be available? This will influence if yes or not I will buy immediately a TF6000PVR.

Just another question. The more interessting feature I will use is:

- Watching a scrambled channel using the TPS CI (for example) to descramble it and in the same time, recording another channel from the same provider, i.e. TPS.

Reading the manual, I know this is possible. Right ?

The question is: Is the recorded channel will be recorded in a scrambled version or will it possible to use the TPS CI twice (i.e for the watched and the recorded channels)?

Thanks again.
Olivier

Sorry, I don't have a time estimation, maybe Gerti might know there a bit more.

As for using the CI twice: In the TF5000PVR that is possible as long as both services are on the same transponder. In the last TF6000PVR firmware I have available that was not yet possible, but it should be implemented soon, too. While you might record any other scambled service while watching a scrambled service, the recorded one will be recorded scrambled and has to be descrambled later. You might watch it, and the picture is descrambled, or you can copy the file later, and by that create a descrambled recording.

ok,

I do not ask more.

If I resume, with the actual firmware AND two LNBs, it will be possible:

- To watch a decrambled channel from one LNB using the TPS CI and IN THE SAME TIME TO RECORD any other scrambled channel from TPS, too, using the OTHER LNB. Do I have correctly understood?

It was my last question.

Thanks.
Olivier.

Yes, that is possible, with the mentioned result that the recording is scrambled.

Thanks, that's fine for me... I hope the next firmware will be available soon.

FYI, I have written an email to Gerti about the "two CI not working together" bug. I am waiting on his answer.

Thanks again.
Olivier.

Thanks Gerti,

I have done this a few hours ago and receive a very fast answer.

So, sorry to have bothered you with my email.

For the other persons interessted to have two CI at the same time, Topfield answers this to my quesiton:

"this bug is known and we will have finished a new firmware which solves this bug hopefully within the next weeks.
Please refere to the korean website http://www.topfield.co.kr if a new firmware for the TF6000PVR WLAN is available."

So, we are sure now that this bug will be corrected in the next version of the firmware. This is good news. Thanks to Topfield.

Olivier.
