Formatieren tue ich natürlich nicht und für das Tool, welches LinusPlatten liest, nutze ich Ext2Fsd.
Das ist soweit alles richtig, denke ich.

also bei den job files kann er das file nicht finden das er verschieben soll und sonst, wenn kein job file ansteht, findet er das mount verzeichnis nicht.

und das fette heißt das er jetzt mal 3 min wartet bevor er loslegt...also etwas geduld

bitte solche logs als file hochladen oder am anfang in den text (code) und am ende (/code) schreiben...anstat den runden klammern mußt du eckige [] verwenden.

Auch die Hinweise bzgl. der Log-files sind angekommen.

Den Hinweis bzgl. des "Mount-Verzeichnisses" hab ich jetzt nicht verstanden.
Was kann ich da machen ?

du mußt mal grundsätzlich zwischen job files, die du mit SmartFiler oder tMSA erstellst, und den modus wo BackgroundCopy von einem move verzeichnis in ein nas verzeichnis verschiebt unterscheiden.

gibt es ein job file dann stehen diese daten wie: welches file, von wo, nach wohin usw in dem job file drin.
ist kein job file vorhanden hat BackgroundCopy eine grundkonfiguration von welchen verzeichnis in welches verzeichnis verschoben werden soll. das ist im normalfall MoveToNAS und NASShare. wenn deine verzeichnisse anders lauten mußt d das mit dem setup tap entsprechend einstellen.

Hi@all, ist es möglich mit BGC Dateien auf verschiedene NAS zu verschieben?
Bisher funktioniert es so bei mir:

MoveDir=/mnt/hd/DataFiles/Transfer
DestDir=/mnt/hd/DataFiles/EXTERN

Jetzt habe ich ein zweites NAS und möchte natürlich auch dorthin Daten verschieben. Kann ich vielleicht ein zweites MoveDir=/mnt/hd/DataFiles/Transfer_2 einrichten und das so konfigurieren das die Daten dann auf dem 2. NAS DestDir=/mnt/hd/DataFiles/EXTERN_2 verschoben werden?

Das ist kein Problem - ich verschiebe die Dateien von Hand auf dem NAS.

Für den Fall das Dir irgendwann mal furchtbar langweilig ist kannst Du ja mal darüber nachdenken ob BackgroundCopy auch den Betrieb von mehreren NAS unterstützen könnte.

wenn das tap das sie erstellt die funktion nicht zur verfügung stellt, dann gehst du in programfiles/settings/backgroundcopy/job oder jobfiles wenn du diesen ordner löscht oder dessen inhalt per ftp sind alles weg.

ah, ok. Ich bekomme nämlich vor meinem gewünschten Job erstmal alle paarundfünfzig Yakari-Folgen auf die Festplatte kopiert. Die ist mit 500GB aber dann schon fast zu klein, außerdem dauert das :-)

Ich schaus mir mal an. Wenn die FP dann noch am 2401 läuft, dann ist Topfield nachwievor die absolute Nr. 1.

Könnense mit ihren anderen Boxes alle daheim bleiben.

ja das ist klar.
Bei den 150 Jobs, die er grade daheim abarbeitet handelt es sich um alte Jobs, wenn ich heute abend daheim bin und die Festplatte noch nicht voll ist und er evlt. die Jobs abgearbeitet hat, dann lösch ich ggfs. die Ordner.

MoveToNAS ?
Wieso ist das schneller als BGC... oder verstehe ich da jetzt was nicht ?

Ich muss das vielleicht nochmal präzisieren.

Mit meinen Festplatten hatte ich in der Vergangenheit dahingehend Probleme, dass sie nicht immer erkannt wurden.

Die Taps liefen aber so nebenher (MountNAS und BGC). Gelegentliche wollte ich ein paar Files verschieben, aber die Festplatte hatte ja gezickt.
BGC hat sich diese Jobs wohl gemerkt (ich aber nicht) und als ich gestern dann eine alte Festplatte an den Topf drangehängt habe und diese formatierte, fing er dann auch sogleich an, die alten Jobs abzuarbeiten ....

Du musst für BackgroundCopy einen Quellordner, der standardmäßig MoveToNAS heißt und einen Zielordner festlegen. Wenn BackgroundCopy gestartet wird, werden automatisch alle Dateien aus dem Quellordner in den Zielordner kopiert.

Aber es gibt wohl 2 Möglichkeiten zum verschieben, dass scheint mir der Hintergrund deines Hinweises zu sein. Oder ?
Einmal über den MoveToNAS Ordner und einmal direkt in/auf die Externe Festplatte.
