Yes, there were two versions mixed in the init, and that was the reason.

An explanation for the mix:
There is a bit for RunOnTimerBoot and I thought I can make an entry with 0 for manual start and another with 1 for timer start. But it seems that both lines are executed on manual start, so duplicate entries must be deleted.

Hello together

I tried to install Webcontrol on my Topfield TMS 2100. So far, so good, but when I push the blue button for downloading the logos, the TMS restarts. I have downloaded the SMart EPG Logos Euro Pack.
Other, the TAP is working fine from Chrome, only Logos and many Names of Channels missing.

Do you see logos flashing on the screen in the top left corner when you press the blue button?

Have you tried without logos as a test? Perhaps there is a logo in the SmartEPG logo pack in a format that WebControl does not expect.

Looking at the file "service-logos.log" could help you find out which logo could be corrupt.

You can also load logos using PNG files. This is a lot more work to do manually but could also help bypass a logo that WebControl can not read from the SmartEPG logos.

Also, how many active channels do you have on your PVR? I think that there is a limit of about 2060.

- I cannot see any logo flashing, the reciever immy restarts.
- Without logos the program works fine.
- I cannot find a log about the logos
- What you mean with "active" channels: All chanells listed or only chanells in one of the favourites. If it is all chanells, yes I have more than 2000

All I can say for now is to try v1.41e and see if that helps, but I doubt that it will.

I have looked in my source code and found a note that 2060 channels works and that 2061 crashes, but I don't remember why I made this comment and I can not find any place where I specifically test for this many channels or take any protective measures.

The logos are written into a PNG file and I think that the limit comes about within the external library that I use to create the PNG logo file.

I will have to create a special version of WebControl-Config to add extra logging to help identify where the crash is occurring. I don't know when I will be able to do that. Sorry.

If you truly use all of your 2000 channels, then there is nothing that I can do for now. If there are channels that you never watch, perhaps you could try deleting some.

I thought, this problem has been solved before:

Version 1.20 is now available on TAPtoDate.

• Limit the total number of logos to 2000 to prevent WebControl-Config from crashing when the resulting logo file is too big.
• Ability to manually prevent automatic logo generation by adding "noautologos=1" into the INI file.
• Changed logo search method so that the "safe PC name" is now aligned with the SmartEPG logo name. For example "Channel One!" used to be "channel one!" and is now "channelone".

Dieses Update enthält eine Reihe von Bugfixs und neuen Features:

• Limitierung der maximal erstellten Logos auf 2000 um zu verhindern, dass WebControl-Config abstürzt, wenn die Logo-Datei zu groß würde.
• Möglichkeit, die automatische Logo Erzeugung abzuschalten. Dazu kann in der INI Datei manuell der Eintrag "noautologos=1" hinzugefügt werden.
• Geänderte Logo Suchmethode, so dass nun der PC konforme Name mit dem SmartEPG Logo-Namen übereinstimmt. Z.B. bei "Channel One!" wird nun statt nach "channel one!" nach "channelone" gesucht.

Yes this was the reason, I didn't clean out the channels last when I updated.


PS: It is amazing, with Chrome the logos are there, no way with FF

With FF, what happens if you enter the following URL?

Do you see a grid of logos for your PVR?

Can you load this file?

If so, how many logos does it report at the top?

What version of FF are you using?

the logo image is used as "background-image" to display the logos.
Perhaps Firefox has some size limitations.

Can you please pack this two files in a zip archive an send me per mail:

Perhaps, you could also add your channel list. You can get it as described in this post, just replace "config" by "channels" (and the IP address)
