Do you have the SmartEPG clock enabled?

Besser gesagt, was der Firefox alles kann
Wieder was gelernt. Aber egal, was der FF da so schön markiert, ausgewertet wird es nicht.

ich habe das TAP zum Ausprobieren mal via TAP-to-date instaliert.
Insgesamt war das Verhalten des Topfs danach komisch. Oben im Bildschirm liefen sämtliche Senderbezeichnungen durch. Dann Neustart.
Dann liefen die Senderbezeichnungen wieder durch und wieder Neustart.
Ich habe das ganze dann mit 0 unterbrochen und das TAP wieder deinstaliert.

Hatte das schonmal jemand und was hab ich falsch gemacht?

Ich hatte zwar am Ende des ersten Durchlaufs auch einen Reboot, danach hat es aber funktioniert. Starte es testweise einmal manuell und nicht über den AutoStart.

Bei mir ebenfalls beim ersten Durchlauf einen Reboot, der zweite beherzte Start war dann i.O.

I experienced the same as FireBird, after the initial Channel/Logo Build my 2401 rebooted. After that, I had no issues (it rebuilt the logo files again).

Try loading WebControl-Config manually and pressing the blue key to rebuild the logos. Does the PVR reboot?

Hallo,

I have the same problem as Yog-Sototh. There is no difference if I create the logos with the Config-TAP or with the WebControl-TAP itself. It works for nearly 3 minutes and then the SRP reboots with check files & folders. See log at 20:02:53 and 20:05:48. The problem is reproducable. In my case it crashes always at Radio Horeb. I use 2 satellites (Astra + Hotbird) with 2021 TV and 439 radio stations. Are there some debug-otions I might be able to help with?

Same problem here, SmartEPG clock is enabled! Pressing OK brings the config screen up again.

When the logos are automatically built, WebControl actually loads WebControl-Config in batch mode. It rebuilds the logos and exits.

Can you tell me if the following files are created on the PVR in /ProgramFiles/Settings/WebControl/public_html? The best way to check would be via ftp. Also what size is each file.

• service-logos.log
• service-logos.png
• service-logos.css
• service-logos.txt

With regards to the "Radio Horeb" logo, I assume that it works fine in SmartEPG. You can try manually overriding the SE logo with a PNG.

If you are still having problems, there are 3 ways that you could try to stop the logos from being automatically built in v1.10:

1. Move WebControl-Config to another folder.
2. Rename WebControl-Config to something else.
3. Manually create "service-logos.log", "service-logos.png", "service-logos.css" and "service-logos.txt" on the PVR in "public_html" as zero byte files. This will fool WebControl into not building the logos, but may impact the functionality of the front end.

You could also uninstall v1.10 and install v1.01 from TAPtoDate. The auto-logos feature was new to v1.10.

I plan to disable the auto-logos feature in the next release, it was meant to speed up the configuration process for new users. Unfortunately, it has had unforeseen consequences for some users.

You also have 2500+ channels. I will also look into the possibility that WebControl-Config has a memory management problem with that many channels.

I think it might be the best at the moment if I leave my configuration unchanged so I could do some testing for you if you would need it.

Thanks for providing the log file, it was a big help.

I don't think that "Radio Horeb" is the problem. It was the last logo found, but there are a lot of channels searched after this one that do not have logos.

The log shows 2021 TV channels being processed and then 439 Radio channels being processed. This matches the numbers in your earlier post.

My guess is that there is a fault with the process that finally creates service-logos.png.

I will try to recreate the problem here today. Unfortunately, I only have 30 DVB-T channels so I will have to try a few things (like repeating my list 83 times) to try and force the error. If I can't force the error, I will try to produce a version of WebControl-Config with additional logging for you to use.

If you have WebControl in your AutoStart folder, please move it back into ProgramFiles so that WebControl does not interrupt your PVR. Otherwise, yes, it would be good if you could leave the current configuration for troubleshooting purposes.

Thanks for the quick answer. I`ve eliminated WebControl from Autostart and start it manually to reproduce the problem. I´ve also done some testing with and without other TAPs. The problem is always the same. As a last point I see the creation of the Radio Horeb logo and then after a few seconds the crash happens. At least the problem ist stable and occurs every time I start WebControl.

You are always welcome in sending special debugging versions to me.

I was able to recreate the problem on my PVR and I could reliably make my PVR crash when rebuilding logos. The problem is that you have too many channels, resulting in the potential to have too many logos. Emulating 2060 channels, my PVR was OK, with 2061 it rebooted.

Your system has 2021 TV channels + 439 Radio Channels + 4 system logos = 2464 potential logos. Rounded up to 20 logos per line, this was a maximum 2480 logos in a grid of 20 x 124 logos within your logos file even though you only actually have 822 logos found on your system.

I use an external library to create the "service-logos.png" file and it would seem that this external library has a limitation on the size of the PNG that it can produce. WebControl-Config rebooted when I passed control to this external library.

I have made 4 changes:

1. Some additional diagnostics in "service-logos.log".
2. I now check the actual number of logos found and only save enough PNG to cover that number rounded up to 20 logos per row.
3. I check to see if the actual number of logos is > 2000 and if that is true, I only save the first 2000 logos found.
4. I have added a setting into WebControl.ini that will always prevent logos from being automatically generated. Just add "noautologos=1" to the INI file and WebControl-Config will only try and build logos from the GUI, never automatically.

I have done the best to test this on my PVR, but with only 31 logos found out of 38 channels, I can only do so much testing.

You can find an updated copy of WebControl-Config here. You will need to install it on your PVR manually via FTP. It is version 1.11-Dev1 and has some minor changes ready for the next release. As far as I can remember, it should be backwards compatible with v1.10. Please let me know if you have any further troubles.

Anybody who has problems with WebControl-Config rebooting when creating logos should try this version.
