Hi,
I'm planning to buy 2TB hdd to my crp2401ci+
I found a thread about compatible hdds for srp2401 but are they also compatible with crp.
My current, original, hdd is Seagate ST31000322CS which seems to be 3.5"" SATA2-drive, so a new one need to be 3.5"" but does it have to be SATA2 drive to be compatible or would SATA and SATA 3 also compatible?
Which is the maximum performance of CRP? I mean that is there compatible HDDs available which max. performance is better than CRP could use, so buying such a hdd would be a waste of money. On the other hand, I found that many SATA3 2TB hdds are cheaper than 2TB SATA2 hdds, so are these SATA3 disks compatible?
Is there detectable performance differences between 5200, 7200 or variable RPM disk or does cache size has significant meaning? If previously mentioned have significant performance differences, which assemply is the best?

Hey Eikka !
Just choose one of these ! They are tested by other user and don't produce any problems:
Actually, the harddisk could be a smaller one (2.5'') but doesn't have to be.
As far as I know you should take a SATA2 disk. (SATA3 is not supported)
Just remember the maximum space for harddisks is 2TB !
I use "WD20EURS 2TB" for exactly a year without any problems.
Greetings, VaniQ
