I didn't setup favourites, the list is from SE when it scanned the stations. I did have duplicates so I changed those to be ignored in the setup. I will have another look and see if I can change the order in the setup file.

you have to change the order of your station list in the setup of your receiver.
after that you have to go in the setup of se point one and se will read and store your new channel list.

It is possible that in Australia LCN is active and the internal order is different from the order you see?

Mike,
Working on the manual right now. I have not had a problem with my system crashing or missing any timers that I am aware of. In fact for the past week I have disabled all other taps that may have been a conflict with SE. The only issue i have had is that two recordingd that are visible by Smartfiler and also filer but they will not play, however they do play using the toppy original filer. I put this down to a once off.
I also think it is great especially that have been able tweak it a bit from advice from the forum.
Once I have reorganised my channels it will be even better.

I meant to also say that I have a topyy 2460 which does not have IR. The retravision store was getting rid of all PVR's and only going to stock bluray and DVD recorders. He insisted I buy it for $380, a bargin especially as it came with the wireless adapter as well.

Twilight,
SE channel list is a mirror image of what was setup by the toppy 2460. They appear to be in the order of the automatic scan, so does this mean I need to manually scan each station in the order I want them to appear? I could not see any way of just changing the order in the toppy setup.

As I wrote above, it looks so, that the 2460 has LCN Support. The Channel order in the normal list will be orderes from this number. In German, we have no LCN. So here, everybody sort his stations like he wants and SE shows this order. So I think, that ther must be programmed an Update für LCN Support. But I think, this is not so ease and will take a time.

Just a heads up on SE here in Australia. All seems to be good with SE handling things just nicely.
Was trying the latest version of Smart Filer. Not sure how this happened but on a couple of occasions I had stopped a recording in SE as it had reached the end of the show, but padding meant that there was still time left to go on the timer. In SmartFiler, (SF) when I deleted the recording there was another recording still going on. Also I noticed that SF showed the files as .rec files I think.
I will take more care next time and note exactly what I was doing/did.

I think the issue I had with multiply timer entries for the SmartEPG.rec has dissappeared. It may have been how I installed but I deleted all timers in both the Toppy's list as well as SE. At this stage all is good with the 2460 in Aust. as well.

Yes, that are good news. Thanks.
It shouldn't take too long until we can provide the translated manual.

A user on the Australian forum has some suggestions the five may consider in future adjustments to SE v3.1.
I am posting these for him. "josetann" says
Now for a few suggestions:
In the Searchlist editor, there's quite a few options that I have to change every time I try to create a new Series Link. I'd like to set defaults somewhere, so it'll already have Recording mode set to Series and has all the options set as if I pressed "2" (24h/7d/Channel). And to increase the WAF (Wife Acceptance Factor), ideally one could simply press the record button twice while in the guide and it'll automatically setup a Series recording. Again, I'm thinking one would set the default options for the Series recording somewhere, so the techie person goes through this once, and then the non-techie person just double-presses record and it's done. In addition to the aforementioned settings, I'd like some logic to automatically figure the correct Search text. For me, something like "T+50:Name*" where Name is the name of the show minus anything after the dash. I.e., if my wife tries to set a Series Link for "House - New Time" then it'll toss out the - New Time (and also the space immediately preceding the -) and set the Search text to "T+50:House*". Not perfect (MasterChef Australia would not record MasterChef Allstars, for example) but pretty darn close. Of course, once you've setup the quick 'n dirty Series Link, you can go to the Searchlist editor and refine it later (for when your wife complains about missing MasterChef Allstars, ugh). So one press of the record button = a record once timer, with a single red dot on the show name in the guide. A second press of the record button (doesn't have to be consecutive, one could simply press the record button anytime when a program with a record once timer set is highlighted in the guide) creates the Series Link with default settings, and shows the three red dots on the show name in the guide. Press the record button yet again, and it deletes the timer completely. It seems easy in my mind...but I realize it may be easier said than done.
And in the Searchlist editor...I've made numerous changes, and then forgot to hit the green button to save. Is there a way to check if there's unsaved changes when a user exits, and pop up a dialog asking if the user wants to save or discard the changes?
Oh, and just nitpicking, but it'd be nice to have an extra line for the description when using the Grid view. I know, I know, use the Guide or Overview screen instead. But we're used to the Grid style, and I'm trying to keep things looking at least somewhat similar to before. I set it up so the Guide button goes to the Grid, my wife has no problems using it, everyone's happy
Really liking this TAP. Makes the machine much more user-friendly. Series recording is actually possible now. Many thanks.
