Vielleicht ein -T oder -C Problem welches nicht am Sat auftritt?

Qualität muß IMHO gleich sein. Einen Encoder hat der Topf nicht und der Prozessor würde das in 4 oder 6x auch nicht schaffen.

Hast Du Dir das .log mal angesehen? Ist das bei Dir auch so? Hab mit bloßem Augge auch noch keinen Unterschied gesehen. Aufgefallen ist es mir aber trotzdem, daß das bei jeder Copy.rec so ist.

Tritt bei -S und -C auf.
Bei -T kann man das schlecht überprüfen da hier nichts verschlüsselt wird

ich hatte bereits über SAT ein grünes $ und trotzdem eine verschlüsselte Datei. Die lies sich dann nach zwei Wochen auch leider nicht mehr entschlüsseln. Passiert am 14. Novermber auf Premiere Serie mit "Supernatural". Und worhin bei meinem Test auch zufällig ...

kann man auch nicht wissen, da Prermiere ständig die zahlenden Zuschauer mit Änderungen am System "bestraft" und die schwarzen Schafe dann doch nicht fängt

Das hatte ich noch nicht obwohl ich Premire Komplett habe ...

Was ich allerdings schon hatte:

§ Orange und aufnahme trotzdem entschlüsselt
und was ich bei AUTOMATISCHEM Entschlüsseln zu 50% immer habe sind kopien
die nach wie vor $ gelb/orange sind ... so wie heute auch wieder

wie gesagt bei manuellem entschlüsseln sind sie zu 99% $ grün

was macht MM 1.3b eigentlich mit den Originalen ... hatte heute nacht drei Kopien ... davon sind 2 $ gelb/grün geblieben ( Einstellung auf Automatisch mit Abschalten )
die sind auf jeden fall nicht im Hauptverzeichnis und bist jetzt habe ich sie nicht gefunden !

it now moves the original video to the recycle bin, and renames the copy to have the same name as the original video

so wie es aussieht schiebt er sie in den Papierkorb ... und benennt die Kopie nach dem Original ... steht dann kein COPY mehr dahinter ? ... daß wäre schlecht denn über diese Angabe verschiebe ich die kopierten Files mit Automove , damit sie bei falschen $ nicht nochmal kopiert weden ... kann leider erst später nachschauen

bei mir tritt das auch erst mit der neuesten firmware auf. Früher wars eher so, dass gelb nicht unbedingt verschlüsselt heisst, heute heisst grün nicht unbedingt entschlüsselt öfter mal was Neues

Ich hatte heute auch zum ersten Mal den Fall, dass von 3PG angelegte timer (und die waren definitiv da) nicht ausgeführt wurden ich hoffe, das liegt nicht irgendwie an Media Manager.
Ein Test eben ergab, dass der Topf schon aus dem Standby aufwacht, wenn ein timer kommt. Scheint also kein prinzipielles Problem mit aufgehängtem Frontpanel zu sein.

so wie es aussieht ... durchsucht er bei Autodecode:

1. alle Verzeichnisse nach unverschlüsselten aufnahmen
2. verschiebt er die kopierten in den Papierkorb und benennt die kopie um so daß am Ende der zusatz COPY fehlt !

da er bei mir beim automatischen Kopieren 50% aller $ Zeichen wieder als verschlüsselt anzeigt ( wie schon geschrieben ) ist das ganze durch obiges verhalten von MM nicht zu gebrauchen ... zumindest nicht in Verbindung mit der Autodecode Funktion:

- da er alle Verzeichnisse durchsucht würde er mir jetzt jedesmal wieder die gleichen Filme kopieren .. obwohl sie bereits kopiert sind

- automove kann nicht mehr zwischen Original und Kopie unterscheiden

Da ihr ja mit Mark in kontakt steht ... es müßte folgendes geändert werden:

zusätzliche Menüpunkte:

- einstellbar ob die Kopie umbenannt werden soll oder nicht !!!

- einstellbar ob er für Autodecode nur das Hauptverzeichnis durchsuchen soll .. oder alle Verzeichnis

die 2 Einstellungmöglichkeiten würden mir vorerst reichen und wären zwingend nötig da der Topfield bei der Zuordnung der $ Zeichen meines erachtens nicht in geringstem zuverlässig ist !!!

hoffe ihr könnt da was anleiern .. sonst ein echt super TAP ... vorallem der geringe Speicherverbrauch und die Geschwindigkeit sind echt super

das non plus ultra wäre natürlich folgende Auswahl zusätzlich:

- unverschlüsselte Aufnahmen ignorieren wenn im Text COPY steht !!!

dann könnte man wieder alle Verzeichnisse durchsuchen lassen

I do not think there is a need for a menu option for this, as it seems this behaviour is always desired. I think 1) would be ok, and easier to code, but let me know if you disagree.

However, I think it may be possible to find out from the recording header itself, whether it is REALLY decoded or not, rather than relying on the Toppy firmware to tell you (which does not work properly anyway). I do not know exactly what to search for in the header, but maybe someone in the German forum can tell us.

The information in the directory and the REC header is always the same. If the firmware thinks that the file is (partly) crypted, the REC header won’t reveal different information. If you really want to know what’s going on, you have to code a TS packet scanner. Mine samples the first 4 sectors of every cluster and reaches a throughput of about 2GB per minute.

Hi Mark,

wouldn't it be possible to rely on the file name only, meaning append a COPY into the copied file name and a DECODED into the original file name and exclude files with these two strings in the name when decoding. This would be completely independent of any decoding status of the Toppi. This method would prerequisite that a copied file is always correctly decoded, but I guess we can assume that.

Greetings Germany :

This is Mark from England . I have been reading your e-mails and have tried to follow this thread, although I do not speak German, so have to rely on Babel Fish to translate for me.

I want to post a summary of the problems with decoding, and my proposed solutions. Thank you for everyone who has helped to explain the problems/solutions to me. The following changes are just proposals, so if anyone thinks the solutions are wrong, then we can discuss it here:

1) A Dutch user informs me that the most reliable way of decoding is to tune to the channel the recording was made on before starting to decode. I am not sure if this is also true for German users, but I plan to make this change.

2) He also tells me that if the copy is started BEFORE fast forwarding to 4x or 6x, then there are sometimes glitches/errors in the first minute of the copy. Therefore I propose to fast forward to 4x or 6x BEFORE starting the copy.

3) When decoding has finished, I will leave the (COPY)-x extension on the file. Then, when searching for the files to decode, I will ignore these files.

4) When displaying the file name in the Video Manager, and the option 'Video name to display' is set to 'Trimmed file name', I can hide the (COPY)-x extension. I can also ALWAYS show a green $ sign against files with that extension, as I will assume these files are fully decoded.

5) At a later date, I may investigate Firebird's solution, but for the time being I think the above proposals are sufficient.

Hi Mark ... for German users it is better to switch to an FTA Channel before DECODING !!

In the TAP called Sfastcopy you can choose one in the menue ... before the decoding starts the tap switches to this channel

i agree with your other points ... this would solve the Problem

and at last ... welcome in the board
