ich glaube, das ist nicht ganz korrekt.

Reduziert den maximal durch EPG-Daten belegten Arbeitsspeicher auf 1 MB (von 3 oder 4).


Oder habe ICH das falsch verstanden?

I have at least once asked patch authors to add some kind of readme file into patch zips. I have also already used to that my wishes are usually not listened or fulfilled.

Damit scheint das Problem wohl wirklich aus der Welt geschafft worden zu sein. Bei mir trat das zu 99,9 % mit V2 + V3 immer dann auf, wenn ich einen manuellen SWAT-Suchlauf unter 3PG angeworfen und den Topf dann auch selbst ausgeschaltet habe. Das ging dann nur, wenn ich den Topf danach kurz wieder ein- und ausgeschaltet habe. Nach dem Patchen mit V4 ging der Topf anstandslos zum nächsten Timer an.

The TimerPatch V4 eliminates all timer deletion messages in addition to the functionality of V3 (sending only the next earliest timer).

With respect to aXeL I would say it is rather an extension than a patch.

Yes, thats true and what you are doing is much better than only keeping patches here as a secret. But there still is MANY users that are not reading this or UK forum (like Finnish, Swedish or even russian users). Thats why it would be good to have readme files in zips. Now they might find out only some kind of, and even outdated, description from TAPWorld.

That is true, but we don't have a suitable section/category for this kind of extensions in TAPWorld so I decided to add it into FW Patches section/category. We did not want to add own secion for only this one extension.

As I have told many times, I can not speak german. However TAPWorld was made to be the best and most complete TAP directory, which it surely is, and most complete means "We have all TAPs".

Because we want to have all TAPs there, someone have to monitor this your forum as well. However, no-one have not wanted to help me with you german guys (actually I am not surprised ) so I have to monitor this forum by myself even I do not understand anything

Also none of you german guys have not given me the helping hands (there is some small exceptions to this, thanks for you!).

So I check your forum's unread threads every now and then and browse trhough the unread messages. I do not even try to read them unless I happen to see something that might look a little like a new version or new TAP. Then I use babelfish and try to understand what is going on.

Sometimes I have to ask "what is this" and luckily I usually get answers as well. Thanks.

I have been berated here, sometimes behind my shoulders and sometimes in front of my eyes. Usually with german language replies to my english posts. I must admit that sometimes I have also been unpleasant against you

BTW, could someone try to tell me what "Seltsamer Zeitgenosse :-(" under my name on the left column means. Even babelfish's translation isn't good enough for me to understand it.


I really can say that I do not enjoy this, but someone have to sacrifice oneself when serving tens of thousands of TAP users (25-50 000 individual TAPWorld users per month generating almost a million page loads and over 20GB traffig per month (excluding our finnish forum)).

Luckily nowadays updating TAP into TAPWorld is very easy. It only takes couple of seconds. If I would not have done that change into our systems, I am quite sure I would have stopped updating TAPWorld. One reason for that is that my toppy is currently 99.5% perfect. I do not need to find out new TAPs or patches anymore. I just sit into the couch and start watching recordings.


What I really do not understand is why you german guys try to avoid TAPWorld and use only your own, limited, TAP lists. At the moment I believe that the reason is that you do not wan't to use non-german pages. Maybe I am wrong. We still know that there is thousands of german users in TAPWorld as well

I suspect from the way in which most non-German posts are treated in this forum, that many of our members don't feel confident to discuss more or less complicated matters in a foreign language. There are, as you say, exceptions. The problem usually is that you need to know the answer and be able to communicate it (I usually lack the former ). The catch with advertising your TAPs to an international public is that you expect to have to reply to a lot of inquiries in a foreign language. If I look at some of the "German" posts in this forum, I can fully appreciate people feeling uncomfortable with the aspect of receiving the like in "English".

That is unfortunate because I would have given you the same (English) translation. Since I in turn do not speak a single word of Finnish, that is probably all the help I can give you with this.

ich hatte in den letzten 2 Wochen 2 Timer Aufnahmen die nicht gestartet sind.
1- Kann Timer Patch das evtl. beheben?
2- Macht es Sinn mit den TAPs die ich nutze den Patch zu verwenden oder sind da Probleme bekannt mit speziellen TAPs ?

Afaik ist mir da nichts bekannt.
Der Timer Patch hat ja auch im Grunde genommen nichts mit Taps zu tun, sondern soll halt den gelegentlichen Verlust von Timern verhindern, bzw. minimieren.

Ich wollt eben mal den Timer Patch in meine Juni FW, die schon den Powerrestore- und den HDD Patch beinhaltet, reinpacken.
beim Laden der bereits gepatchten FW bringt der FW Patcher allerdings die Fehlermeldungen "Failed to laod xxxPatch. Ignored"
Tritt auch beim LAden der ungepatchten Juni 05 FW auf.
Das ging doch mal...

edit: es lag an den im ZIP entahltenen Patches.
Ich hab die nochmal getrennt runtergeladen und dann gings wieder. kömisch, kömisch

ich hab aber den Fehler gefunden. es lag an den im ZIP enthaltenen patches.
Die wollte er nicht.
