Ist die Aussage, dass die FW vom Jan. 2007 die Beste ist noch aktuell? In der Zwischenzeit gibt es ja eine FW vom 2008-03-28.

I don't know, where to find it. But I'm quite sure you won't need it. The firmware dated January 2007 is the better one.

Thanks for the link! By browsing in it, I realized that I already knew firmware 2008-03-28, that is the one suited specifically for Germany. In fact, I already found it a couple of years ago, then I trashed it, because it misses DiSeQ 1.2, which I need. Then I forgot about that firmware.
So it seems that after 2007, no developments had been made to firmwares for generic European users.
I will give 2007 January firmware a second try, then!

Otherwise try 2005-12. It is said, that one is nearly as good (some say even better) as the 2007-01.

Basically I have two problems, both involving descrambling a scrambled recording. And CAMs handling is also involved with the two problems.
Here is my situation. In one CI slot I have Aston 1.05 CAM with a subbed card in it. In the other CI slot I have a Matrix CAM properly programmed to read subbed NDS card. The NDS card is in Matrix rarely, so Matrix is almost always empty, while Aston is almost always filled with the SECA card. Now, when I record from a NDS channel without having a card in Matrix, I should get a scrambled recording. That recording should be then descrambled by Topfiled during playback if the NDS card is inserted in Matrix. That doesn't happen: I got a message of scrambled service and the screen remains black, even though the card is in Matrix.
I tried swap CAMs, but I got no success. On the contrary, if I take one of the CAMs off (no matters which of the two) while recording, I get a regular NDS scrambled recording that can be descrambled during playback if the NDS card is in Matrix.
So I guess that something in my TF5000PVR crashes while recording, if both CAMs are in CI slots. I guess that Aston and Matrix don't get along well, while my Toppy is recording. But they get along well while watching live scrambled programs, both SECA and NDS. So the problem comes out only when attempting to record a NDS scrambled service without proper card inserted in CAM. I think that CAMs handling should be improved in Toppy and I hoped to find a newer firmware with a fix for it.
I am aware that Matrx is not an official CAM, therefore I am aware that Topfield has no obbligation to improve support for it in its decoder, but, on the other hand, Matrix had been very popular, many of those CAMs had been sold, so it should be supported anyway. Also, it complies CI specifications as well as Aston, so Toppy must handle them properly and simultaneously.
Anyway, if there was an official NDS CAM, I would use it instead of Matrix, but unfortunately it doesn't exist. There are a couple of CAMs more that support NDS, but I don't have them, therefore I can't tell whether they would get along with Aston or not.

The second problem is trickier than the first, therefore I need more test before posting about it.

I got you, but I'm out. My experience with CAMs and CIs is exactly zero. Maybe there are other guys here, who can give you some hints. Otherwise there is still the possibility to ask the official Topfield support for help.

Well, I think that nobody can solve my problem, nor any hint can be given. Only a better firmware could solve it. Also, I am sure that Topfield would not care about me and would not support me at all, because Matrix is not an official CAM.
Anyway, I will try some tests more and eventually post my problem in International section.

läuft super sieht gut aus was will man mehr ..

display wo kirget man das 5500 er ..?

dann aktuele frimware ??

was sollte man nutzen... 05 er oder 07 er version..

und wo kriege ich Taps her ..muss ich die mir angeln..am teich ;-))


und was sollte man sich rein laden.. denke alles ist nicht gut !

TAP: Topfield Application Program
Firmware: Nicht die aktuelle. September 2005 oder Januar 2007. Die Ältere ist etwas flotter, hat aber noch ein oder zwei kleine Bugs mehr.
TAPs: Guckst Du mal hier im TAP-Unterforum.
SSD: Mandelatz hat schon eine ausprobiert. Geht. Was Du erst mal brauchst ist ein SATA-Adapter, der funktioniert. Dazu gibt es hier aber auch Erfahrungsberichte.
