Have just realised maybe this model will not access the internet. They have a web server and ftp access.
This comparison chart seems to bear that out:
http://oztoppy.wikidot.com/comparison
According to my understanding only the 2400, 2460, 2470, and 7260? would be able to access this new feature.
Cheers
Mike

Some models may not have all gimmicks but as soon as you’re able to enter a gateway IP, that machine is able to access the internet.

Well that shoots down that idea.
I have tried Dynamic and Static connections and there seems to be no difference on two different 7160's. They can both access TTD, but there are no hits with Recommendations.
Cheers

Well that's what happens when you are impatient.
This morning on the 2400 there were 73 recommendations on wide and the 7160 had 41.
Interestingly many of the recommendations were for search timer show titles which I had either accepted or had blocked on the other if you uinderstand what I mean.
Thanks for you help and I will suggest ti others that they should explore the feature with patience.

I am trying to solve some of my problems by going to the SE Infobox. I have a problem and a question:
THE PROBLEM: It seems that, whenever I have either SE Infobox loaded, SE intercepts the AR key. This would be fine, except that the first click of AR changes to the next aspect ratio, rather than the native system of requiring two clicks for the first change. Any way to adjust?
THE QUESTION: In settings option 31, what is the purpose of setting keys for the next and previous events in the infobox? They seem to have no effect. I would like to be able to navigate to and get information for any event in the list.

settings 31 is called "look&feel" and the settings in there are more than one
so, which one you mean? the settings there takes effekt of different functions of SmartEPG
the problem with the AR key...do you have this everytime when SmartEPG is started or just when the infobox is shown on the screen?

The problem with AR only occurs when when the SmartEPG or SmartEPG Pilot Infoboxes are set. It works normally with the Original SRP setting.
The menu options I mean are 31/28 and 31/29 : "Infobox Eventnavigation Next" and "Infobox Eventnavigation Previous." No matter what I set, those keys seem to have no effect when the Infobox is on the screen. I have tried both SmartEPG and SmartEPG Pilot.

it is just enough when you have turned it on or the infobox must be shown on hte screen that the problem accours?

I use version 7e, which I think is the latest.
I am sorry to be unclear: the problem is only when the infobox is on the screen. The keys still work, but they do not navigate to the next event or previous event in the infobox.
I do not understand what you are saying the problem is.

I should also mention that I have tried SE both first and last in the start order.

I thought you might have meant that other TAPs are interfering, so I disabled them all, but it has made no difference. I feel that I must be missing another setting, somewhere. I have tried this setting with many different choices of key.
May I also please ask the meaning of:
Item 26 "LiveEPG"
Item 31/17 "Info with new recs," and,
Item 31/18 "Playinfo as PVR info"?

I could reproduce it but it wasn't necessary to display the infobox.

Oh, I see. That is correct; the infobox does not need to be on the screen, but when the settings are set to "Original SRP" the AR key works normally.
